Sweet Grass – Shirts Are Overrated
Sweet Grass, formed in Blackfalds in 2016, is something of a reunion for guitarist/vocalist Tucker Mcmurray, drummer Alex Adamson, and bassist Aiden Ace Beauchamp. The trio began playing music together as teens and have collaborated in a number of combinations in the intervening years. Reunited under the SWEET GRASS BAND moniker, the guys harness those formative years into a swift kick-in-the-pants that’ll get you moving and/or grooving.
Sonically, Sweet Grass reaches for the primal energy of their garage-rock forebears without sacrificing musicianship or theatrics. Their sets come complete with tarps-off Who covers, leaving floating drum kits and splintered instruments not far from the imagination. These fellas can rock, plain and simple.

Sweet Grass will open for former SKID ROW front-man and Trailer Park Boys, Sebastian Bach, Tuesday, June 19 at Bo’s Bar and Grill. A greasy night is sure to be had by all. Their 2017 EP, King Bull, is streaming on Spotify and available for purchase on Bandcamp.
